Wanderlust
Wanderlust - defined - is a "strong desire for travel". We each differ in the strength of our desire to see far away places for sure. But I believe that deep down we are all inquisitive about what lies beyond the next valley or mountain, or around the next curve in the road.
If you've been fortunate enough to have the resources and time to go travel and explore, I'd guess that more often than not, it has been a worthwhile investment. We live in a beautiful and free area of the world, but there are lessons to be learned about our role on this planet when we step outside of our usual surroundings.
This coming week, two of our Vic City members - Alex Derksen and Rachael Hartley - will embark on a three month adventure in Southeast Asia. I'm sure that they will make the most of the experience while not letting their fitness decrease too much :). This workout is dedicated to their pursuit and satisfaction of wanderlust and I'm hoping that they have a fantastic time.
If you want to catch up with Rachael and Alex, they're planning on attending the 7pm Wednesday class. Also, be sure to "thank" them for the wod!
