Member Highlight - JUSTIN!




Justin has been with us for nearly two years now, and he has come so far since joining! With a clear endurance background the moment he jumped into classes, crushing any running workout that came up, to now making so many improvements in his lifting, gymnastics, and more! He joined our Level Up program back in the fall, and has been tackling his goals each week. It’s been so fun to see him putting it all together and he continues to raise the bar higher for himself. He is a regular Nooner and always brings the best energy to each class, he is also very handy and has helped out with some equipment (has anyone noticed the AB graveyard gone?!) maintenance, and we are very appreciative! What is your background in Fitness/sport? Running and Hiking


When did you start CrossFit and At Vic City? July 2022 with Vic City





How many CrossFit Opens have you done? One


Favourite memories in the gym? Watching everyone come together to cheer on each other at the last CrossFit open workout on the Friday (potluck get together)


What is your favourite movement? Cleans




Least favourite? Double unders


Favourite WOD or type? Any EMOM or AMRAP with a partner


What do you enjoy the most about CrossFit?


The support and friendliness of not only the staff but fellow members. The environment is positive and is a great break away from the stresses of day to day work





Most recent achievement that you are proud of? New PR 1 rep max clean


What goals are you working towards right now? Nailing down the dam double unders so I can Rx future WOD’s that has them


What is your go to treat / meal? Costco tortilla chips (haha so boring)


Thank you Justin for being an outstanding member in our community. For always cheering on your fellow classmates, and for being a good example to all about putting in the work to achieve your goals. It’s the little things like spending an extra 5 mins before or after class working on your skills, double unders, butterfly pull-ups, etc. that don’t go unnoticed. We can’t wait to see what else you accomplish, we know it’s going to be a lot, as you’re just getting started ;)
